Central Bank’s Total Reserves Increased to Record Levels
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has released its weekly money and banking statistics, revealing a notable rise in its total reserves.
As of November 1, the gross foreign currency reserves of the CBRT decreased by 499 million USD, dropping to 93 billion 5 million USD, compared to 93 billion 504 million USD on October 25.
During the same period, the gold reserves saw an increase of 720 million USD, rising from 65 billion 894 million USD to 66 billion 614 million USD.
Consequently, the Central Bank’s total reserves rose by 221 million USD compared to the previous week, reaching a new record high of 159 billion 619 million USD from 159 billion 398 million USD.
This marks the highest level of reserves ever recorded by the CBRT.
