Earthquake Strikes Off Japan’s Yakushima Island

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a magnitude 6.2 earthquake off the coast of Yakushima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located 151 kilometers southeast of Yakushima Island. The depth of the quake was recorded at 10 kilometers.

There have been no reports of casualties or damage, and no tsunami warning has been issued following the earthquake.
