In a recent meeting of the Presidential Cabinet, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, significant discussions took place regarding measures to combat the opportunism that harms Turkey’s commercial life. Erdoğan emphasized that inspections on those engaging in excessive price hikes and label manipulation will be intensified, stating, “We are seeing that the price bubble is gradually disappearing. This will accelerate in the coming period.”

Erdoğan pointed out a special focus on regions such as Southeast Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia, the Eastern Black Sea, and the Konya Plain, with the aim of completing irrigation investments, swiftly transitioning to smart agriculture practices, and increasing tourism revenues. He announced that a local development initiative incentive program for the private sector will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

While in New York, Erdoğan expressed concern over Israel’s intensified attacks on Lebanon, stating that over 1,000 Lebanese have lost their lives, including many children. He highlighted that humanitarian aid, including 30 tons of supplies, was delivered to Beirut on Wednesday, and Turkey will continue its support as security conditions allow. The needs of the Lebanese people are growing rapidly, with nearly 1 million civilians displaced from their homes.

Erdoğan emphasized the importance of a unified response from the Islamic world to the oppression faced in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. He urged Islamic nations to lead in extending a helping hand to the oppressed, asserting, “If we do not stand by our brothers, we cannot expect others to support them.” He criticized the lack of decisive economic and commercial measures to pressure Israel into a ceasefire and expressed sadness over this inertia.

He stated, “We will never accept this brutality,” underscoring that supporting Palestine and Lebanon equates to supporting humanity and fostering a culture of peace among different beliefs. Erdoğan condemned those who assist Israel in sowing seeds of enmity and warned that Israel not only undermines international law but also the credibility of the nations supporting it.

He called on the Islamic world and all nations with a conscience to unite against this modern barbarism, warning that every day without such an alliance increases the danger. Erdoğan urged the international community, regardless of faith—be it Muslim, Jewish, or Christian—to take action.

In this critical time, Erdoğan’s commitment to regional stability and humanitarian support is essential, and newstimesturkey.com will continue to provide updates on these significant developments. It’s crucial for nations to stand in solidarity and respond to the ongoing crisis effectively.
